Instant justice and a job well done by the Macomb County Deputy, permenantely ending the criminal career of an armed felon.

They should have a red inked stamp for any death certificate in Detroit that just says: "One more criminal...PERMENANTLY RETIRED"

MY BROTHER WAS FAR FROM A ARMED FELON. HE HAS NEVER SHOT A GUN IN HIS LIFE, BUT THE PAST 2 YR.S HE HAS MADE A FRIENDSHIP WITH A NEEDLE. CHECK YOUR OWN CLOSET!!!!!!
  • Dreamgirl · 1 month ago
um, okay, I just got back from checking my closet. No needles. Did find a half full bottle of rum I bought ten years ago. Does that qualify?
  • THA_TRUUF · 1 month ago
a dirty drug needle is a deadly weapon. Both to the people who use it and the ones who they threaten with it. If he cop hadnt shot him and he was so addicted to the needle, then he probably was gonna die soon anyways. Lets think about it this way, Short sweet with a bullet to the heart or long painful withdrawal as your body is unable to function without the drug you have created an addiction for.

No one will ever know anything about Jamin by some news report. Just because someone has demons does not mean you love them any less. He was my best friend and no one will ever take his place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • mikeski · 1 month ago
"no one will ever take his place" Can't find anyone else as stupid as Jamin?
  • brokenarrow_2002 · 1 month ago
I have been an officer for 8 years and never was trained to shoot to injure or disarm. I have never known of a department that trains that way. If what the reports says is correct the officer was 100% correct in what he did. Just as a reminder officers are still people and still have the right to protect their own life just as you would want them to protect the lives of yourself or your loved ones. Also keep in mind while the family is grieving so is the Officer it's not like cops like to have to shoot someone. He is going to have months of not only the investigation by his department but a civil suite as well. Not to mention the psychiatric visit that will be required by the department and then most likely continue on his own. His family is going to have to come with terms with either his changes or the way they view him now that he has taken a life. They will not release the video with out a court order until the investigations is finished. I just wanted to put the other side out not to say the family shouldn't grieve just there is always two sides to every story.

Typical responses from the ghetto, "It's not his fault", "why did they have to kill him", why isn't he in school, or working? Why is he stealing, using drugs, and trying to stab someone? Glad he is gone!
  • all4114all · 1 month ago
ALL YALL FOCKERS NEED TO HAVE SOME RESPECT FOR OTHERS...NO MATTER WHAT HE DONE ..HE DID NOT DESERVE TO DIE..ESPECIALLY FOR HAVING A NEEDLE.HOW MUCH OF A THREAT COULD A NEEDLE BE..FOR REAL THOUGH..THE COP NEEDS TO GO TO JAIL
  • FFwoman · 1 month ago
Let me see....can you say HIV or AIDS, Hepatitis, or another unknown disease?? Most needles are kept locked up as a hospital standard, which means the only ones he could have got at were in the sharps container, in other words, dirty used needles.....so depending on what was on the needle, he could be charged for that.....yes if you stab someone with a dirty needle, it can mandate a murder charge.......he was attempting to attack an officer with a sharp object...i'd shoot him too.....I'd like you to come to an ER and see exactly what these people try to do, sometimes it takes 8 or more of us to hold them down and restrain them......you wouldn't survive in an ER job or as a police officer....also take into account if there was leftover medication in the syringe.....that could kill someone too......
  • Frostitoes6969 · 1 month ago
Very nicely said. Kudos!! But you won't make them understand.

  • FFwoman · 1 month ago
she meant unreal as in crazy stuff, things that people wouldn't know that happened in an ER.....I work in one too and its nuts, especially when there is a full moon....it took 8 of us the other night to put four point restraints on a guy hell bent to get out of there and I sure wished we had a gun at that point....
  • cityboyinthecountry · 1 month ago
Why are you screaming? The needle could have been poisoned ( aids ). If you were a cop, you would have done the same thing. He should've had respect for his own life and then for the police.
  • wife2grumpy · 1 month ago

  • amp94 · 1 month ago

  • DetroitBoji · 1 month ago
I was there, I saw the whole incident, the police officer was never in danger nor did the victim pose a threat to anyone in the ER. This was an unjustified homcide by the Roseville police, ANYONE needing me as witness please contact me, JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED!!!

  • jb313 · 1 month ago
I agree. Why this fully trained officer couldn't shoot him in the leg or arm? I guess any white person incarcerated are considered s'aggin too!
  • wmcbowman · 1 month ago
Your right, there was no cause to shoot him in the chest; if you want to stop them, shoot them in the head, preferably to take out the medula; drops them like a sack of potatos
  • FFwoman · 1 month ago
Police are not trained to hit an arm or a leg, and how would you like it if I came at you with a dirty needle??? You need one night in an ER to see how stupid people in custody behave, the officer saved the staff and patients in the ER from getting hurt by this punk.......enough said
  • momoe · 1 month ago
friggen brilliant comment....did you type one handed, the other one to hold your pants up?!?!?
  • pjmolson · 1 month ago
I WOULDN'T SAY THE COP NEEDS TO GO TO JAIL, I DO THINK THE COP SHOULD HAVE HANDLED IT A DIFFERENT WAY INSTEAD OF REACTING TOO FAST, A NEEDLE COMPARED TO A GUN IS NO COMPARISON!
  • Mr_Juggernaut · 1 month ago
what if the needle was infected with aids... I can't blame the cop... Cops have shot attackers and they keep right on attacking! (do a google search for it) you never know... (scary thought)
  • denisemarie · 1 month ago
If the needle was infected with AIDS it would have already been properly disposed of. All dirty needles are immediately disposed of.

Too bad stupidity isn't illegal because then you'd be the one going to jail.
  • SoSerious · 1 month ago
    good argument
  • SoSerious · 1 month ago
all4114all - I actually agree with you on this one. A needle vs a gun... BIG difference... And the cop could have shot and wounded him vs shot and killed him.... Or shut the door and locked him in the room he was in until he could get better assistance.... Some people need more help than others... Mental illness is troubling enough as it is... When your in a hospital AND there are cops around - I thought it was their job to help, even when you're completely unstable.... To protect and serve is what I thought police do - even if it's from yourself....
  • momoe · 1 month ago
oh lock him in the room alone...uhhhhm now if he would have hurt himself and/or coded and died in there alone...the family would probably sue the hospital, police, etc.try being a cop or ER staff for a day and night. There are alot of CRAZY messed up people out there and they have phenominal strength when all jacked up.
  • FFwoman · 1 month ago
Kudos! we had one last night in the ER that work at that took 8 of us to get into restraints........
  • FFwoman · 1 month ago
A needle is considered a weapon especially if its dirty or has leftover medicine in it.....its not that simple to just lock a door in an ER, if he was strung out on something his adrenaline is going at 800 mph and makes him strong, read what I put above...its not easy to restrain someone who is hell bent on getting out of somewhere and the cop acted correctly...the cops are there to protect other patients and staff from a potentially violent situation....I think you need to come to an ER and experience it yourself......
  • Frostitoes6969 · 1 month ago
Where did it say anything about Medical illness? He was a druggie
  • momoe · 1 month ago
    uuuuuuuuuuuhm medical illness=give drugs=potential druggie=potential mental illness=more drugs..................the train is a rollin' , the train is a rollin'!
  • Frostitoes6969 · 1 month ago
Seriously that was just a stupid comment!!! Now you are saying that because he was a druggie that he had mental issue. Your a lawyer aren't you?????

  • duhtroot_rools · 1 month ago
B.S. the idiot was warned and didn't listen...he got what he deserved. You would have done the same in the cops shoes. I know I would rather shoot than be stuck with a needle. BTW, we don't know what size of needle it was either...there are some big ones out there. I had fluid drained from my knee before and the needle was about 6-8" long.
  • YT_1 · 1 month ago
all4114all. Get on the plane with all the other liberal crybabies. You're all going to be dropped off on a deserted island where you can all whine together. By the way, Einstein......a needle IS a weapon. That guy caused his own demise and you know it.
One more thing. Typing in all caps only makes you look like a screaming idiot.
  • SoSerious · 1 month ago
WOW! A GUN vs A NEEDLE! Yeah - that's certainly an even playing ground! Sounds like the cop took the easy way out.
  • mewrite · 1 month ago
Hey YT_1, I have to agree with SoSerious on this one. I agree, a needle is a weapon. However, does the law not state that one can only use force equal to that of the threat? If someone threatens you on the street with a knife, you can't shoot them, you can use a knife against them. If law enforcement expects to be respected, they need to hold themselves more accountable for their actions than the rest of us, not less accountable. The very nature of their job is to be the cool head in situations, not the one escalating the violence.
  • usureiscrazy · 1 month ago
I totally agree that was excessive force. However,it's just a few trigger happy cops. Most cops actually try and do a decent job.
  • FFwoman · 1 month ago
I disagree, they protected an ER from a raving maniac, who was brandishing a needle that could have potentially killed someone...ever hear of an Air Emboli? Thats an air bubble created by a syringe filled with air....that happens you are dead....or a dirty needle can be potentially deadly.....
  • FFwoman · 1 month ago
Plus cops are not trained to shoot at a leg or arm.....
  • FFwoman · 1 month ago
Um no.....force is force, if someone is brandishing a knife against you and you have a gun, you have the right to defend yourself in whatever way possible....now how stupid would that look to have the cop come at him with a needle??? They saved the staff and other patients from getting stabbed by this idiot....so the cops acted in the way that they were trained...
  • Frostitoes6969 · 1 month ago
I am sorry but I want to understand your line of thinking, so if a police officer is being threaten with a knife and he only has a gun should he call time out, I have to run to the car and get the proper weapon. Is that what you are saving. Well with your line of thought than if someone is murder than the suspect should get the same done to them..
  • PDinDetroit · 1 month ago
"However, does the law not state that one can only use force equal to that of the threat?"

WRONG. You have to establish the motive, the threat and the attacker's ability to carry out the attack. You will have to articulate why you believed that threat could cause Death, Great Bodily Harm Leading to Death, or Imminent Sexual Penetration.

The motive was he wanted to get away or cause as much damage as he could on the way out. How else can one take this? A man armed with a needle charging a man with a gun? A very reckless act!

A needle is a threat, and no one so far knows what substance that needle carried. It is reasonable to assume that a person could be caused Great Bodily Harm Leading to Death from that needle. This was not an "unarmed person".

The attacker ran towards the police officer with the needle, which established the ability to carry out the attack. An adult can easily move 21 feet in 1.5 seconds and the officer probably had even less time to react.

Jamin was the only one who "escalated the violence".
  • cat · 1 month ago
Even playing ground? You're problem, and the dude who died problem is, you don't realize they weren't playing a game! It was real life, and when a cop tells you to stop what your doing, you better listen. If you can't wrap your mind around that, why don't you just do us all a favor and take yourself out of the gene pool.
  • Frostitoes6969 · 1 month ago
Ok so lets say that the said needle got stuck in the officer in a vein, and the pert, pushed down the needle and pushed air into the officers veins. The officer would have died would that have been all right with you than for them to shoot him???
  • pjmolson · 1 month ago
OFFICERS ARE TRAINED IN SITUATIONS LIKE THIS, HE SHOULD HAVE SHOT HIM IN THE ARM OR THE LEG OR
SOMEWHERE THAT DIDN'T KILL THE GUY, I THINK POLICE OFFICERS SHOULD GUN SOMEONE DOWN WHEN THE OTHER PERSON HAS A GUN ON THEM!
  • Frostitoes6969 · 1 month ago
You watch to much TV. They are trained to go for the biggest mast or area that would be his chest not his big toe.

Again he threathen a police officer and he died that is what happens when you are on a suicide mission. The end.
  • FFwoman · 1 month ago
Yeah I agree with Frostitoes.....its not like tv out there.....go be a cop for a few weeks and then you'll see....

Hey former inmate, let me stick a five inch needle in your eye and see how it feels criminal!
  • khdfjkds · 1 month ago
I am truly sorry to the family of this man. It's apparant that he had some inner demons that he needed to work out. Addiction is a horrible thing. It changes a person. I have no doubt that Jamin was loved as a son, brother, and uncle. Hopefully his sad ending will prevent others from taking the same path.

However, I applaud the officers' quick thinking. When threatened, they are trained to shoot to kill. This man, however high on drugs and out of his normal mind he may have been, was threatening an officer. They may have very likely saved someone else from being injured.

It's unfortunate, but I'm sure the family had to see where his addiction was going. I know it's difficult to convince someone they need help if they don't want it. I know the family is hurting right now. The officer is probably traumatized by this as well. It's tough to make a decision like this and live with the fact that you've killed someone, regardless of the scenerio.
  • isntblind · 1 month ago
    Wow....

Denise, if this really is your son, (which I highly doubt) then your posts make many things clear. I would put money on him growing up in poverty with an alcoholic/pill popping single mother. You have the spelling, grammar, and English skills of a D average 6th grader, so I can assume you never held a job that required more than bending over and picking up things. Also, not to mention that only a few hours after his death you are on a news site arguing with people who are fed up with criminals (violent or not). Calling people fools while misspelling every other word and telling Rory he has no intelagins just shows your ignorance.

I really doubt though that you are his mother because if you are, you need help and you will not get it arguing with people here, they will tear you apart.

And if you are not the mother, than you are a sick attention craving sicko and you need help.
  • detroitkid · 1 month ago
Growing up in poverty has nothing to do with it. He made concious decsions, he decided to live his life in the manner that he did. It's called free will, not poverty.
  • leblasl2001 · 1 month ago

Read the older posts. She stated he was her son and then later it was her brother. I agree with "instblind" If this was a family member, son or brother, she should be with her loved ones, not arguing on this site.

A man walks into a bar with an alligator on a thin leash...everyone freaks and runs to one side.
The bartender says "Ur money is good but, ur alligator is scaring the hell out of everyone!"
The guy says watch this...tells the gator to open and it opens its mouth...he puts his pee pee in the mouth and begins to hit the gator on the head with a stick.
The guy says, "How about that for control?"
Bartender says, "Good but, look at my customers, they are still scared as hell."
Guy says, "Wait I'll show you." He asks if any of the customers wants to try this and a small guy stands up and says, "I will, I will, just don't hit me so hard with the stick!"

Sorry for the loss of your Brother, but as a police officers wife i feel that m husband and all the other cops should do what ever they have to, to protect themselves..I have lost 6 people in the line of duty because of people like your brother. Excuse me if i am insnsitive, But because of the people who are criminals and druggies, i have lost to many people close to me! Oh and my aunt wa addicted to the needle( god rest her soul) if u give some one a drug they are not who you think they are and the will attack people and even hurt thier loved ones! The Macomb County Sherriff’s are great. I live near the Marine division and support Hackel. Although I did meet this little short fat young weasel of a cop once and he was a complete jackazz. I understand the short fat man syndrome is hard to overcome while talking to a 6'-2" 195 fit man. Anyway I think Macomb Sheriffs are terrific. - Keep shooting punks!

He intiated the acts in the hosptial or clinic, He confronted the cop, not the other way around. The cop greased him and good bye, have a good day. There are enough people living on the public dole.

The CPL Classes train you to "shoot to stop aggression" and only if you are in Fear of Imminent Death, Fear of Great Bodily Harm Leading to Death, or Imminent Sexual Penetration. There is no "shoot to wound", "shoot to warn", nor "shoot to kill". As much as I like bad guys off the streets and 6 feet under, doing other than the above leads to a long visit with "bubba" in the state pen.

A normal adult person can move 21 feet easily in 1.5 seconds and attack. Glad to hear that this officer's training paid off.
  • OpusX · 1 month ago
And in that 1.5 seconds a person has to think real quickly and (hopefully) clearly as to what to do.
  • FFwoman · 1 month ago
Thank you for your comment.....these people defending this nutcase on here are really a joke. I'm glad the officer did what he did......i'm sure one day it will happen in the ER I work in and i'll be thanking the sheriffs for saving my life as well as my co-workers and the other patients
  • mh757 · 1 month ago
I realize that everybody is different but I have to believe that if, God forbid, my child/brother/nephew had died less than 24 hours ago, I would be so grief stricken that the last thing I would even think of doing at that point is hiring an attorney let alone signing online to post comments.

I am sorry for the family's loss, however, to blame the police officer is wrong. He did what he had to do to protect himself and others in the ER.

No if Jamin had backed down this all could have been prevented....in police training if someone comes at you with a weapon, you defend yourself, they are taught to shoot at the larger parts of the body....and yes the needle was a weapon because in this and all hospitals by JACHO rules, all sharps must be kept in a locked drawer, so he probably went into the sharps container and got one out from there, which means the needle was dirty, it could have had HIV, AIDS, Hepatitis, or any other disease, or medicine still in it or worse yet, if he had punctured a vein or artery in the officer and sent air into it an Air Embolus would have killed the officer. Crowded area, weapons and someone possibly on a drug induced craze also equals an area prime for a hostage situation. Has the family considered THAT was the threat possibly going through the officer's mind?

Perhaps, it wasn't the officer being "wimpy" or a "pig" or any other of your choice terms? Maybe, just maybe, it was the safety of those IN and around the ER that the officer was thinking of? Obviously it's difficult for you to comprehend, but not all people are as selfish as your family member was to only think of themselves.

Do you have a "right" to be angry? Of course, but direct your anger at the person that deserves it. Your family member. He is the one that brought his death upon himself. Had he not committed his original crime he would not have been arrested in the first place. Had he taken better care of himself, perhaps he would not have needed medical attention. HAD HE NOT GRABBED THE NEEDLE, HE WOULD NOT BE DEAD.

Instead of trying to defend your family member to those of us whose opinion you are not going to sway, why not put your emotion and dedication to working w/ those that are involved with drugs, to get their lives straight so someone else doesn't end up in the same predicament as your family member?

There have been a lot of interesting perspectives shared in the comments. Passionate views, from a variety of angles. Mr. Totty's family and friends have experienced the loss of a loved one, regardless as to whatever mistakes he made in life. It is also probably difficult for the officer who fatally shot Mr. Totty, even if he acted in self-defense, in the line of duty.
We're talking about human beings, not just a "criminal" and an "officer".

Among the most shocking aspects of the comments, thus far, is that as of 8:30 p.m. on 11/08/09, there are 487 of them, about a Caucasian criminal in a suburb, on this web site.

WARREN, Mich. -- A Warren police officer was stabbed during an altercation Friday afternoon.

Warren Police Commissioner William Dwyer said they received a call about a disturbance at a car wash business at Groesbeck Highway and Eight Mile Road around 12:30 p.m.

When officers arrived, the person creating the disturbance was gone.

    Watch: Warren Officer Stabbed

Several witnesses pointed to the home across the street from the car wash and said the 20-year-old suspect was in there. The house was located on the street on the 20000 block of Waltham Street.

When officers went to the home, the suspect went into the house, grabbed a butcher knife and stabbed one of the officers several times, police said.

"The officer was cut up on the skull area, cut on the left side of the cheek," said Dwyer.

Witness Ron Carnwath said the slashed officer stumbled out of the home and went back to his car and radioed, "Officer down, officer down!"

An excavation crew nearby saw the injured officer and ran over to assist him.

"He ran to his truck to grab some rags and as I'm kind of walking up to him, he says, 'Anything! grab a jacket.' So I took my jacket and held it to his head," said Carnwath.

The suspect was taken into custody by another officer.

The injured officer was transported to Bi-County Hospital.

There is no word on the officer's condition.

The suspect's name is not being released, but police said they are working on an attempted murder warrant.

wow that officer didnt shot to kill now did he and he was stabbed .

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD THAT YOU PEOPLE CAN SLEEP @ NIGHT!!!!! i AM CANDACE, JAMIN WAS MY BROTHER!!!! JAMIN HAD A DISEASE OF ADDICTION THAT I KNOW PLAGUES ALMOST EVERYONE OR SOME ONE CLOSE TO THEM. NO MATTER WHAT MY BROTHER DONE LAST NIGHT HE DID NOT DESERVE TO BE SHOT POINT BLANK IN THE HEART!! YOU LOOK MY 2 DAUGHTERS IN THE EYES & TELL THEM THE UNCLE THEY LOVED SO MUCH WAS A LOOSER & THEY DESERVE THE PAIN OF NEVER SEEING HIM AGAIN. COME ON PEOPLE HAVE SOME SYMPATHY FOR MY FAMILY RIGHT NOW, CAUSE IF THE SHOE WAS ON THE OTHER FOOT I WOULD SHED A TEAR FOR YOUR AGONY.
  • Sharon Olson · 1 month ago
I am sorry about your brother but on the other hand I tired of people using the excuse of calling addiction " a disease". He chose that "disease". And I am being sarcastic when I say "disease". People are trying to excuse their actions by using that term. When someone chooses a "disease" they have also chose a life that will hurt many others. Are we to forget all of the victims of the "diseased person"? Ironically enough there is a "diseased person" interupting my life and his name also is Jamin. He is a drug addict and is persuing my 17 year old granddaughter who has no self esteem and listens to his ramblings. His mom and grandmother talk her into believing all this disease chit and say things like "oh but that is not the real Jamin, that is the drugs talking. He is really a kind man and will eventually will be back to the real him. Christ is in his life." These are the things they say when he threatens myself and her grandpa or when he calls her names. He has been locked up a minimum of 12 times this year. Jail, mental health, drug rehabilition. He has been offered the help he needs over and over on the tax payers dollar and chooses the other route everytime. I can not even begin to describe this person. Fortunately he lives in a different city while we are working with our granddaughter with counseling to build her self esteem and see him for what he is. When I saw the name Jamin I almost breathed a sigh of relief. It has been nothing but a battle from the day he came in the picture. But no, it wasn't that Jamin. But right now he is in jail and I hope they keep him in for years and years because I would not shed a tear if this story had been about him. Drug addicts prey on other people. What about those victims?
  • Sharon Olson · 1 month ago
By the way, I did see where you said he was your son at first. Maybe the whole family is on drugs? Or is he your son and your brother? A little family love gone to far?
  • USAMade · 1 month ago
They only label it a "disease" so they can receive their gubbment check!
funny how some people can chose this while others with a real disease has to fight.

You can tell your daughters the world is better off without evil. You can tell them that their uncle was a loser who lost his soul when he started using drugs. first off....find your f-ing caps lock key a push it...idiot...second of all, your brother/son charged officers with a weapon. You say that he was shot point blank in the heart....do you honestly think that a shot to the leg would have stopped the officer (doing his job) from being stabbed with a possibly infected needle? idiot. third of all, learn to speak and type proper english. 4th, drug addiction is not a disease...doesn't matter how you justify it as being a disease...it's not...he made the choice to start doing drugs, bottom line.

I agree with Sharon Olson below. I'm sorry for your loss, BUT addiction is not a disease, the same as alcoholism is not a disease. No one puts the crack pipe in anyone's hand; no one puts a liquor bottle in someone else's hand. I'm so sick of having to be politically correct when talking about these losers who CHOOSE drugs over living a productive life. Please give me a break!!!

I've edited this after reading more. There doesn't seem to be much sympathy for you. Gee, I wonder why . . . . .

I agree with mh757... Did family/friends put as much effort into trying to help Jamin with his problems as they are trying to build a civil suit against the Sheriffs Dept??? Who should we feel sorry for? the man trying to attack an officer? Or the officer who protected the lives of the medical staff, the patients, and his/her self? I feel bad for the officer.

And Drug/Alcohol Addiction is NOT a disease! Only addicted people use that BS excuse to blame something other than themselves. I never cracked a beer because I had a disease. I did it simply because I wanted a beer, and I CHOSE to have one.

No Police Officer ever wants to take another persons life, but it happens. Yes, the deputy has to live with this incident taking place, but I'm sure he/she will be able to sleep at night.

I cant believe GROWN ADULTS are on a web site going back and forth about a person they do not know. You have no idea what his family is going through. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT TYPE OF PERSON JAMIN WAS, he still was human and lost his life. He has family and friends that are grieving.
  • cat · 1 month ago
I can't believe a GROWN ADULT came on a web site and defended a criminal. And a stupid, cowardly criminal at that. One that endangered countless lives, in a place where people work who's job it is to save lives! We have NO sympathy for trash and the enablers of trash. If he had problems (like a drug addiction) where were all his friends and family when he needed their help? If they would of committed him and MADE him straighten out his act and clean and dry his system out, like only family and friends can, he wouldn't be dead right now. If he was as bad as most drug addicts are, his family and friends are probably relieved, sad, but relieved, because they don't have to deal with a drug addict anymore. Oh! By the way. Why do you think people are allowed to leave comments here? It's a blog site you dork. This section is here so adults can debate the story that's posted above. Until you get that through your thick head you're going to continue to look like an idiot. One last tidbit before I go. Unless you're related or a friend, you have no idea what the family is going through either.

It DOES MATTER what type of person he was and we all here have the FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND EXPRESSION. I like it when my fellow Americans exercise their RIGHTS.

He chose to end his life, a very self-centered act. How else can one describe a person armed with a needle attacking a police officer armed with a gun? People involved with drugs are usually very self-centered people, who care very little about those around them.

Well, his own sister said he was mentally ill and a drug addict. I don't know what other idea I'm supposed to have of him.

So, if the mentally ill drug addict is running around the ER while I'm there, I'm certainly hoping there is an officer there to blow him away! In my opinion, the interview they showed with sister on the evening news last night explained in detail every reason the cops had for shooting him!

I have an idea that his family is going through the grieving process, and I can respect that. However, they are certainly not wanting to put the responsibility for this on the right person's shoulders! Again, putting it on Jamin's shoulders won't provide any $$$$ am I right, or am I right?

Since when is attempted escape & attempted assault on an officer & other hospital personnel "no reason" ???? There have been MANY, MANY cases where prisoners injured during a confrontation are STILL out of control. If he was as nice a person as some people say, then he wouldn't have been in jail in the first place. Furthermore, if he had just 'taken the wrong road', or was 'trying to get his life back on track', then he wouldn't have run, and certainly wouldn't have charged at the deputy. As many others have said, "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time". If you get caught, you take your punishment like a man. There are no shortcuts....

If Jamin had backed down this all could have been prevented....in police training if someone comes at you with a weapon, you defend yourself, they are taught to shoot at the larger parts of the body....and yes the needle was a weapon because in this and all hospitals by JACHO rules, all sharps must be kept in a locked drawer, so he probably went into the sharps container and got one out from there, which means the needle was dirty, it could have had HIV, AIDS, Hepatitis, or any other disease, or medicine still in it or worse yet, if he had punctured a vein or artery in the officer and sent air into it an Air Embolus would have killed the officer. I would really like to see you defend yourself while being approached by someone with a weapon....they may have taken the cuffs off to do tests and thats when these prisoners do whatever they can to escape....some tests you can't have the cuffs on...how do I know? I work in an ER and deal with these types all the time....sometimes it takes 8 or more of us just to restrain them...doesn't matter if they are cuffed or not, if they are hell bent on getting out of there, they will try anything.......Again, he could have prevented the whole thing if he hadn't been stupid to try and run or injure the officers......Police save lives and they take lives, whatever is necessary to protect those around the person who is inflicting harm.....and they are trained to shoot at the largest part of the body, this isn't hollywood, they don't shoot at a leg........

before thinking. Also why are the tapes being kept from the family, what are
they hiding? My heart goes out to his mother and sister and little girl and all
other family members. Even if I wasn't grieving for my beloved nephew my
views are always the same on these type of issues. It is an very unfair world
we live in. May Jamin Rest In Piece and may Lisa be there to help him along the way.
  • duhtroot_rools · 1 month ago
Typical, never accept blame for our own actions. This world is unfair in that in a lot of cases inconsiderate lawbreakers damage the lives of others for their own gain. Sorry for your loss, but he wasn't as innocent as you think. Stop blaming the officer for protecting his life and the others in the immediate area. He's only doing his job, plus the fact that he will have to live with this the rest of his life too. It's a shame Jamin's selfish actions have impacted so many around him. He should have thought of that and done the time for his crime instead of pulling this stupid stunt. He made his choice and his time was up. Maybe others will learn from this and think before acting next time.

I am VERY sincere about being glad it was Jamin instead of the officer that died. If he was truly a beautiful soul, he would NOT have been in this position in the first place. No, I'm not perfect, nor are my kids. But we aren't stupid enough to do drugs, rob, steal, etc.

You posted earlier and said he was your cousin. So which is it - cousin or nephew? Or is it both?

I wish we heard more stories like this! Kudos to the officer! Another scum bag bites the dust! Now we don't have to waste taxpayer dollars to put him in jail, let him out, he commits another crime, back to jail again......isn't this the routine? It's sickening. I say a bullet is much cheaper. Line up the Pedophiles and rapists next.....
  • YT_1 · 1 month ago
    Great story!
If only we could line up ALL violent criminals and put bullets in them too. Crime would drop drastically. The problem is all the bleeding heart liberal cry babies who defend the bad guys. Violent criminals should have no rights. Can you imagine all the ambulance chasing lawyers who'd be out of work if bad guys had no rights? some food for thought

To aint_no_doubt_about_it: What the heck does your stupid jokes have to do with the news article? I like jokes, but this forum does NOT belong to the Comedy Channel or Second City. I work in the Radio & Television industry, so here is a bit of advice: When a person posts a joke in a serious news forum, it makes the person seem like he or she is indifferent/insensitive to serious situations in life. A great comedian knows there is a time & place for jokes and not every time or place is proper to tell a joke. If you do not know the difference between a proper comedic place and a serious place, then you must not be a good comedian! Comedic "Hacks" are not respectable people! If you want to be discovered as a comedian, don't post your jokes here. Instead be proactive and give Second City a call, or book a comedy gig at a reputable comedy theater.
  • Frostitoes6969 · 1 month ago
Rspect, this is a public blog, a lot of the things that are said on here are wrong.

Aint, Aint isn't doing anything wrong and he means no disrespect he is trying to lighten a bad situation and he if you don't like what he writes than don't read them. Since you brought it up what did your post have to do with the story at hand?????
  • Respect_is_earned_not_given · 1 month ago
It may be a public blog, but it is meant to be used to respond to the article. My response was showing respect to the AP owners, editors, and the author of the article. Like I said, I work for the radio & television industry therefore I know what is an appropriate news forum material and what is not. There are comedy blogs everywhere on the internet. A news blog is NOT a comedy blog. A news blog is meant for people of to share news worthy comments. The jokes are not news worthy, therefore the don't belong in a news blog.

People would be outraged if their local news, Fox news, CNN, or any other television news stations were employed with people like Will Ferrell or Jim Carey 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Heck, even Will Ferrell and Jim Carey know that it would be inappropriate for news journalists to act like their comic personas during a news broadcast. For example, Joy Behar does not do her stand-up comedy routine on her new , but that zing isCNN commentary show. Ms. Behar may say a small zing with in her commentary topic, but a one line zing is not the same as a comedy routine. Even though I do not care for Joy Behar's views, I do respect the fact that she knows the difference between a small zing regarding a topic and a full comedy routine.

You asked what did my original comment have to do with the story...my comment was showing respect to the AP owners, editors, authors, and to readers (like you & I). If you do not think you, as a news reader, are worth respecting, then consider yourself viewed like the jokester. However, I originally thought, you - as a news reader, like many of us, are worthy of intelligent discussions. Would you have thought it was appropriate for the jokes to be commented in a recent Fort Hood, TX news article? (I would hope that you are compassionate and intelligent to know that the answer is "No.") Then ask yourself what is the difference, since a person(s) lost their life in both news stories! The root of both stories is that someone died, and that is something not to be joked about!

What intelligence is your comment? Are you trying to make a racist remark that I'm from a Middle East country? If you are, then you really are unintelligent, since I never gave reference to my heritage in my comments. But since you inquired...I am of Europe decent. My lineage has been traced back to one of the original writers of 'The Federalist.' Do you even know what 'The Federalist' is about, let alone read it? When you can fully and intelligently explain what 'The Federalist' is about, then you will be redeemed intelligent. Until then, I will expect you to keep making unintelligent remarks about a person's ethnicity or origins.

Randy, you are sooooo wrong. I do not cheer that a life had been taken, that is the most ignorant staement I have seen yet. NO, it would not have been me! I do not live my life carelessly and make stupid decisions especially against someone who has a mightier weapon than I. Your reasoning is insane, it is people like you who cry for the criminal and never think about the innocent lives he had affected in a bad way. He could have went quietly to face his charges, he decided not to. Very poor decision making!
  • bddrivn · 1 month ago
I understand the need to get across that losing a life isn't good, but to put it the way you did Randy, is a poor choice of words. First, as most people have stated, it wouldn't be them that this happened to...because they are not criminals. Even if they were, they wouldn't be moronic enough to pull a hype. needle on a armed police officer in an emergency room. This guy wanted to die. Call it a warped suicide. Just know that most people don't cheer on death to individuals, just morons that do this kind of thing are more likely to get the thumbs up when they are killed. I just want to thank the deputy that was faced with this situation. He did the right thing in protecting himself and others.

The fact that it was at close range justifies their actions. If he was threatening them with a needle from twenty yards away I could see your argument but at close range means he was an immediate threat.
  • FFwoman · 1 month ago
I would really like to see you defend yourself while being approached by someone with a weapon....they may have taken the cuffs off to do tests and thats when these prisoners do whatever they can to escape....some tests you can't have the cuffs on...how do I know? I work in an ER and deal with these types all the time....sometimes it takes 8 or more of us just to restrain them...doesn't matter if they are cuffed or not, if they are hell bent on getting out of there, they will try anything.......Again, he could have prevented the whole thing if he hadn't been stupid to try and run or injure the officers......

This whole situation makes me incrediably sad. How do any one of you know anything about jamin or his family? I happen to know for a fact that "the family" was around for jamin and did put him in treatment. they did intervine in his life. Jamin did clean up and he did it well! Everyone has lost in this situation. He should not have had the oppertunity to escape, there needs to be better training and possibly equipment obviously this situation does not occure everyday but I am finding it hard to come up with a good reason that he was able to "hide" from the officer and where was this needle? Also did this officer really feel his life was at risk, yes he may have sustained an injury but deadly force just does not seem to fit the crime here. Everyone is quick to point their finger and while spending their time in front of the computer creating usernames and passwords to make their opinion heard. Instead why don't you use your time better? Look up ways to help the community help the homeless, jobless, menatly ill, adicts, ect.. and make a real difference. There are too many holes in the "programs" the communities do offer. But I guess those are hard to see from your high horse.
  • mh757 · 1 month ago
Anybody and everybody that has posted comments that has been associated with the criminal either as a friend or family has made excuses for his actions. It's becoming very obvious as to why this man had so many problems and did not live up to his responsibilities or become a law abiding citizen. There was no need for him to because the people he surrounded himself with continuously made excuses for his actions judging by their postings on here.

The police officer's training was fine. He did exactly what he was supposed to do. You're right...just because Jamin was a drug addict he didn't need to be killed, however, because he WAS attacking a police officer with a deadly weapon, he did deserve to be shot and killed. Do not blame the police officer for not cuffing him to the gurney. Blame Jamin for having put himself in the position of being there in the first place by committing crimes.

For the record, most of us that are frustrated with, and outraged by, the amount of crimes being committed ARE the ones that help our communities, volunteer at our churches, have dealt with mentally ill family members, etc. We do make a difference, however, I would really, really like you to tell me how Jamin and his family have made differences in our community.

For anyone who thinks that it was "excessive" and that the officer "didn't need to do this", maybe they should read the other article that hit the news today? A Warren police officer was just stabbed today.. several times, in the face and head, with a butcher knife, by some lowlife just like this guy.

He had every right to protect himself from that junkie.

Has anyone writing these very negative posts ever had a loved one die suddenly? His family is seeing these posts, they are grieving in a manner that i hope to never endure. I cant say for certain what happen at that hospital, but it is all irrelavent now. Now, there is a grieving family, mouring the loss of a loved, son, uncle brother, nephew. Please have some compassion. His mother is a very good friend of mine, she has a big generous heart, and loved her son very much. So to all of you with your shameless comments, What would you want to see written here had tragedy struck your family. I am not any kind of analyst, and i dont care what the facts are. I do however believe Jamin's family deserves to know all the same details as the police know. How is it fair? Or how can they get any closure if they cant know everything as well. I love my friend, and i am sad for her, i plan to support her regardless of the outcome, because she has lost a child. Something i could never imagine, i wont pretend to know how she feels, cause i dont. I will however be here for her, and all of you strangers out there....remember the golden rule you most likely learned at a very young age...If you can't say anything nice....(you all know the rest) I am her for you dear! Call whenever you like...and i'll be there. :)
  • FFwoman · 1 month ago
THIS IS A PUBLIC FORUM, FOR PUBLIC OPINION....IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT DON'T READ IT....THE FACT IS HE TRIED TO ASSAULT AN OFFICER.......AND IF HE HAD BEEN SMART, HE WOULDN'T HAVE DONE WHAT HE DID AND HE'D BE ALIVE TODAY.....I work in an ER and know what its like to be thrown around by someone who's hell bent on escaping....we should be armed working there and dealing with these animals...
  • momoe · 1 month ago
I hear ya...hospital staff need combat pay........been thrown around by many 90#runts all jacked up....after having a pt escape, watched her being restrained(took 6 of us) and actually making the Stryker gurney hop on the floor. Ever try to lift one?I can't,hard enough sometimes to just wheel around. These people have incredible strength when their only concern is to escape.
  • mh757 · 1 month ago
Of course you "don't care what the facts are" because the facts are that your friend's son committed a crime and attacked a police officer and the officer was justified in shooting him to protect himself and others in the ER.

As far as the golden rule, perhaps that's a lesson that Jamin would have done well to learn.
  • kfriend · 1 month ago
He may have commited a crime, that doesnt make his family love him less. I dont care what the facts are because it doesnt help the grieving process one way or another. I just think the cruelty displayed here and the disreguard for peoples feelings are just as much of a crime. Everyone on here is so quick to judge....while almost no one on here knows anything about the family at all. Shame on all of you, there is a huge lack of compassion in the world and some of you making these posts are proving that fact! I pray that all of you and your"perfect" families never have to live through a tragedy.
  • thatssogay · 1 month ago
A couple of the supposed family members have posted and it seems clear to
me they are not deserving of any compassion.

    1. Don't Care About The Facts.

    2. Only Care About The Feelings.

Just another Bleeding Heart Liberal. Freedom of Expression is only a crime in your PC-Created World, not the REAL World.

We have plenty of compassion for victims. There can be no mercy for criminals.
  • kfriend · 1 month ago
The family are victims you idiot! Criminal or not, they lost someone they loved and they are grieving, i'll bet you live alone and will more than likely stay that way!
  • PDinDetroit · 1 month ago
I agree the family is the victim, the victim of a self-centered person who decided to put them through this. That person's name is Jamin and now the family must clean up the mess.

Some personal attacks are all the comeback you can muster as a response? They were weak - your internet kung-fu is not strong. I need not attack you - you reveal your usefulness all to well.

BTW - Aren't you the one who posted that "People are so quick to judge"?

    Pot meet kettle.
  • mikeski · 1 month ago
The only victim here is the cop that had to put the animal down!
  • mh757 · 1 month ago
Of course that doesn't make his family love him any less and it's very sad that HE put his family in the position where they are grieving him.

As far as compassion, I'll save my compassion for the victims of crimes and not the criminals.

Many, MANY of us have lived through personal tragedies. The difference is that it was not brought on by the stupidity and criminal actions of one of our loved ones but, rather, through no fault of their own.

How can you say that in praise God that someone is Dead. You are an ignorant sadistic person. It is what it is a tragedy. Im not blaming the officer but they are trained to injure a person without killing them there was no immediate threat to staff or patients and i doubt i would be afraid of someone with a needle and i have a glock 9......
  • FFwoman · 1 month ago
You should be afraid of someone with a needle, because of HIV, etc or even just air to cause an air embolus can kill you....or meds left over in one....Hoss got it right, Officers are trained to PROTECT AND SERVE. They saved the staff and other patients from harm in that ER.......AND YES PRAISE GOD HE'S DEAD, NOW MY TAX MONEY WON'T GO TO HOUSING HIM IN PRISON
  • 97harley · 1 month ago
First off, I have been a police ofc over 25 years. Ever since I started in this line of work officer's are taught/trained that when the use of deadly force presents itself, you are taught to shoot to stop the threat, IE: center mass (chest) Officers are not taught/trained to shoot to wound, or shoot the gun out of the hand. (television) To the people who think a needle does not represent the use of deadly force, you need to rethink your thoughts. A needle can contain anything out there in today's world. Sat safe out there.
  • brokenarrow_2002 · 1 month ago
I would like to know what police training you have? I have been a officer for 8 years and never was trained to shoot to injure or disarm. I have never seen a department that trains that way. If what the reports says is correct the officer was 100% correct in what he did. Just as a reminder officers are still people and still have the right to protect their own life just as you would want them to protect the lives of yourself or other loved ones.
  • Hoss · 1 month ago
Never hear of a glock 9. Must be really old. Praise as the POS has left the earth for the civilized people who are left to walk it. A law enforcement person NEVER shoots to injure, EVER. Police use their sidearm to PROTECT and SERVE. Nothing MORE.
  • wmcbowman · 1 month ago
Maybe he will listen next time someone tells him to stop? oh thats right, he's pushing up daisys now. Maybe the next guy down the line will listen when a cop tells you to stop and has his gun drawn? Guess the fool wanted an altercation and looks like he got it.

A man walks into a bar with an alligator on a thin leash...everyone freaks out and runs to one side of the bar.
Guy says, "Wait I'll show you." He asks if any of the customers would like to try this and a small guy stands up and says, "I will, I will, just don't hit me so hard with the stick!"

why didnt the cop shot him in both arms i mean they are trained right aint they or did he just want to kill the poor guy think about that.
  • Becky Smith · 1 month ago
No they are not trained to shot people in the arms or legs, too small of target. That is ONLY on TV they shoot that way. What this man did was called "sucide by cop". You thinks that the officer wanted to shot at a person in a hospital ER full of people seeking help and staff?
  • Edward Sternisha · 1 month ago
Seriously...How many TV shows and Movies do you watch. ONLY, ONLY, ONLY in TV shows and Movies are you actually able to shoot the bad guy in both arms. Anyone who actually believes you can simply shoot someone in the arm is very uneducated. A cop is trained to shoot at the greatest mass to stop the threat. He or she cannot simply try to shoot an arm or a finger or ear just to try to scare the person into surrendering like on TV. A split second chance to save his/her own life or the life of another is all the cop is thinking about, not "Hmmm, why don't I pretent I am Bruce Willis and just wing him!"
  • mike44 · 1 month ago
liston dumba** if the cop has to make a split second decission to shot the guy cops are trianed to shot and kill that means you uneducated jackas* he could of shot him in the leg or arm have you ever been shot in the arm and know how it feels let just say you uneducated dumba** it will put you down he didnt need to kill the guy

  • FFwoman · 1 month ago

  • tammyleonard · 1 month ago
My name is Lauren and Jamin was my cousin. I would absolutely love to see the video. If they have nothing to hide then RELEASE it to our family. A GOOD cop could have at least shot him in the leg or the foot, but there was no need to kill my cousin. These wimpy cops are saying it was a "life or death situation". If he did happen to stab that loser pig with the needle, do you think he would have died? Nope. Between a gun and a needle, who has the upper hand?
That cop was simply too afraid or too lazy to do his job.
  • mh757 · 1 month ago
I'll take a "loser pig" over a criminal like your cousin any day.

I'm fed up with the family and friends of this criminal blaming the police officer. Had Jamin never come at him with a needle, none of this would be an issue.

What is "wimpy" is a person that steals. Others that are "wimpy" are people that make excuses for them stealing. The police officers that protect us all (even you) on a daily basis are not the wimpy ones.

As far as seeing the video, perhaps it is routine for the videos not to be released until a certain point into the investigation. When I saw that the family had already hired an attorney less than 24 hours after Jamin was killed, I could practically see the money signs dancing in their eyes.
  • FFwoman · 1 month ago
Very well said, looks like this family is taking advantage of the situation to make the almighty dollar.....
  • mh757 · 1 month ago
Thank you. There is an article in the Detroit News this morning about this story. Apparently Jamin had been arrested by Sterling Hts. police just a couple of days prior to this arrest. He also has an 11 year old daughter that lives with her grandparents out of state because the mother of his child is in prison also. Apparently there have been many issues with Jamin along the way as he was already on parole, charged with violating parole, did not have custody of his daughter, was known to be using drugs, etc. This is hardly a case of some poor, innocent guy that messed up one time being brutalized by the police. Had he learned to keep his nose clean, perhaps he would still be alive.

The sister commented that he's been using drugs and hasn't been himself over the past year. She claims he was never violent but apparently she's never seen anybody in a drug rage and how utterly violent they can become.

His sister also states in the article that they don't know what they're going to do because they have no money to bury him which, again, makes hiring an attorney so quickly very questionable.

I think cops use to much force. I guess when u have a badge it gives u so much more right than a normal individual. A regular person would not be able to kill another idividual if he or she were threatened. Someday, we will all be judged for are actions, then we will no what is right or wrong. The difference between a needle or a gun, a tazer or a gun. Some people call it self defense i call it manslaugter next to murder.

You sound ignorant... A needle could have ANYTHING on it. Maybe it won't kill him but maybe he'll get aids or hep.(ESPECIALLY FROM A DRUGY LIKE YOUR COUSIN, MOST LIKELY SHAREING NEEDLES AROUND TOWN) He was a drug addict that just got arrested then ran and hid in the hospital after being admitted. Then he stabbed at a cop with a needle. You don't run at a police officer with anything in your hands. They have the right to shoot you to protect themselves.

a weapon is a weapon...Gun=quick death(sometimes).......needle=slow death....ex.HIV,Hep C etc..........Grieve for your family and loss, but learn a lesson from this. When you threaten a law enforcement person, you are asking for the possiblity of death.Concentrate on getting help NOW for any other family members on drugs and/or mental issues.,instead ob blaming a man who was doing his job.I bet if he shot someone trying to hurt you ,this reasoning would be different.....Most police officers face death everyday, tough job, their families pray they come home safe too.....RIP Jamin....and peace be with the officer too.

OMG! When the investigation is complete i'm sure the video will be released, so everyone can see the lowlife charging at the deputy with a five inch needle. Now you dumbass.... police are trained to elimnate the threat, a five inch needle is a deadly threat!! They are also trained to shoot the center mass because it is the largest area and the easiest to hit in a stressful situation. "GOOD" cop??? Yes he is a good cop idiot, he did what he was trained to do!!! You want him to shot their leg or their foot, when their is a very good chance of missing and possibly ricoshade and kill innocent lifes. What if he was stabbed with the needle by your crazed cousin and possibly gave him a diesease or even kill him!?!? Then he would be doing more time then what he was already about to do! So basically what your saying is you wanted the cop to stand by and do nothing get stabbed and jeopardize his own life? Are you not thinking? Use your brain or were you given one!?!? Your cousin was psycho to go after a deputy with a needle...lol!! You gotta be kidding me...sounds to me you and your family need help like Jamin did!

    On a note to all
    "Grabbed a needle and threatened."
Could you live with a life sentence that someone has inflicted on you Hepatitis, Aids, or any type of body diminishing disease and only because the other person had intent? Right frame of mind or not I know what survival is and its not giving the opportunity for death......

Deadly force? What about trying to take him down with a tazer? Or shooting him in the knee, that surely would have taken him down. Just because he was a drug addict doesn't mean he was a worthless piece of trash who deserved to die, though I'm sure he felt dying was easier for himself and his family. He was sick and needed help. Drug addiction IS a disease, plus he had mental problems. Seems to me if he was under arrest, the police should have had him cuffed to the bed and kept constant watch over him. This could have been avoided if the police were doing their job in the first place, and it does seem a little fishy that they won't let anyone see the surveillance tape. This whole thing stinks big time.

Not all departments carry tazers not sure if this department does or not. And tazers don't always work on somebody who is high. there is a lot of reasons why someone would not be in cuffs while at a hospital like getting medical attention (gee why else would he be there?). And if you know anything about police work or even watched TV you would know that they will not release the video until the investigation is over. Every shooting regardless if it is just or not is homicide and has to be investigated as so until it is proven that it was either a good shoot or if charges are to filed. The last thing I would like to ask you is what would you have done in the same. Talk is great but when it comes to your life or his something tells me you would pick yours. And oh by the way yes I am a officer.

This could have been suiside by his actions. He may not have wanted to go to jail just that much .Not being in his right mind this may have been his best chance to have a police officer do the job for him. Sad for all involved, including the familys of both parties. This has to be hard for the officers family as well.

Wrong being stupid (you) is a choice, drug addiction is a disease.
  • mikeski · 1 month ago
Wrong AGAIN genius. People don't become addicted until AFTER they CHOOSE to use the drug(s). Crawl back into your hole.

To use your own words against you. "It's hard to come off intelligent when you aren't" I think you meant to say alcoholism and drug addiction ARE diseases. NOT alcoholism & drug addiction is a disease. You are an idiot of the HIGHEST order. Now shut up and crawl back under your rock.

Wow how quick everyone is to form an opinion about you! Jamin had a lot of demons up against him. He has battled with them for years. Jamin is also the smartest, most spiritual connected and unique person and that has ever been in my life. His sister is completely right among all those demons he has never physical hurt anyone! I am not condoning with he done but an officer of the law should have the knowledge and skill to restrain and individual without deadly force. I hope the man with the gun can sleep at night because I'm having a really hard time with that! When Jamin died so did a piece of my soul.
  • mh757 · 1 month ago
Smart, spiritually connected people do not charge at a police officer with a weapon. If he was the smartest, most spiritually connected, unique person that you knew, you might want to expand your social circles.

I wonder if all of his friends and family put as much effort into trying to help him turn his life around as they have trying to defend his criminal actions on this blog.
  • mikeski · 4 weeks ago
    I doubt they did.
  • mikeski · 1 month ago
Smart people don't commit crimes, nor do they attack a law enforcement officer. Jamin got what he asked for. End of story, and end of Jamin as well!
  • FFwoman · 1 month ago
When a person is coming at an officer with a weapon and yes a needle is considered a weapon, they are trained to do exactly what the officer did...and he did restrain Jamin....I'd like to see what happens to you if you charge at an officer with a weapon in your hand.....

The cop was just helping him with his chest pain and other problems. He took away his chest pain, mental illness, drug addiction, court problems. POOF problem solved. He never has to worry bout anything again. The cop is a great doctor.
